Wilson L. Lea, CFP®
Financial Planner
Wilson has always had a passion for helping people. Whether lending a hand to a mother carrying a stroller up a staircase, offering a listening ear to a stressed friend, or simply putting a smile on someone’s face, his personal mission has always been to leave people better off — and ultimately, that’s what led him to a career in financial services.
As a financial planner, Wilson has the unique opportunity to align his personal mission with his professional one: helping people accumulate, manage, preserve, protect, and ultimately transfer their wealth for the benefit of themselves and their loved ones. When asked what the most important service he provides his clients is, he says, “Clarity. People are better off when they understand their options — and the tradeoffs that come with each one. Like so many things in life, financial decisions come down to tradeoffs.”
Wilson began his career in financial planning in 1997 and has since worked with retirees, business owners, and individual families. His areas of expertise include asset management, accumulation strategies, retirement income planning, and wealth transfer, with experience in both portfolio design and risk management analysis. Wilson holds a degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and furthered his education through DePaul University’s Certificate in Financial Planning program in Chicago. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification and the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation.
Outside the office, Wilson is a music lover who enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through basketball, snowboarding, and kite surfing.
